The attached three-piece hood with an internal drawcord allows for a tight fit around the face to minimize the only water access point, because even the full front zipper is water resistant. Pit zip venting lets you cool off or air out as needed, as does the drawcord at the hem. Basically, if it’s getting too wet for this jacket, you’re going to need a snorkel.
